This study aims to analyze the optimization of principal leadership in the
implementation of deep learning at Candipari Elementary School, Porong,
Sidoarjo Regency. The research background is based on the importance of
adaptive and visionary leadership in supporting the integration of artificial
intelligence-based learning technology in elementary schools. The study used a
descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth
interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Research informants
included the principal, teachers, and students involved in deep learning-based
learning. Data analysis was conducted using a triangulation model of data
reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the
principal implemented transformational and collaborative leadership that
focused on developing a digital-based vision, technology literacy training for
teachers, and providing supporting infrastructure. The implementation of deep
learning increased interactivity, personalized learning, and enabled more
effective monitoring of student learning progress. Despite constraints on initial
teacher competencies and limited infrastructure, the principal's support
accelerated adaptation and increased teacher and student motivation. Thus,
optimizing principal leadership is a key factor in the successful integration of
deep learning to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.
